We’ve all faced the challenge of packing too many items into a limited backpack or luggage space. The Zingaro laptop backpack is the result of extensive research involving manufacturers, designers, and feedback from wonderful customers like you.
The Genesis of the Zingaro Bag
In the summer of 2019, I had a 2-3 day trip planned with the possibility of extending it to explore the area. I intended to use my regular backpack to carry the following items:
- 2 shirts
- 4 t-shirts
- 2 jeans
- 4 undergarments
- 1 pair of shoes
- 3 pairs of socks
- 1 laptop and its charger
- 1 mobile charger
- Passport
- All toiletries
Packing these items in my daily backpack turned out to be a hassle. Similar issues were faced by others, such as Sameer (link to his story).
The Problems Zingaro Backpack Solves
At the Airport: I had to unpack my clothes to retrieve my laptop for security checks. The electronic chargers were in a different section, making it difficult to access them. The shoes I packed started to make the interior smelly.
During the Flight: My laptop ran out of charge, and I had to unpack to access the charger. I also lost my boarding pass amidst the chaos. Upon landing, I realised I didn’t have enough cash for a taxi (pre-UPI era), adding to the struggle.
At the Hotel: My well-ironed shirt was crumpled, and my toiletries leaked, wetting the entire pouch. After the meeting, I packed my sweaty clothes with my fresh ones, with no other option. Exploring the countryside, I had to repack my dirty shoes into the backpack.
The Birth of Zingaro Backpack
Realising that many travellers faced similar problems, we conducted a survey to understand their needs and aspirations. Based on this feedback, we developed the Zingaro backpack with features designed to solve these issues.
